The 2018 Hong Kong Prize

The Hong Kong Prize is a Hong Kong-based competition for innovative ideas on how to establish an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program in Hong Kong. The winner will receive HK$5000 and the opportunity to present their ideas to key stakeholders in the development sector. The prize is organized by Generocity, a social impact organisation.

The HK Prize is open to all people aged 18-30 who are currently living in Hong Kong or from Hong Kong. The submissions should focus on the idea of establishing an Official Development Assistance (ODA) programme in Hong Kong, and be creative and feasible to implement. The judging panel will include a number of experts and leaders from the government, private sector, academia and civil society organisations in Hong Kong.

Those who have submitted their entries to the HK Prize will be notified by email before the end of April. The winning submission will be announced at a ceremony in May.

A total of HK$10 million in cash and prizes will be awarded to the winners. In addition, the winner will be offered an internship at a local media company for one year. Besides that, the winner will also be given the chance to attend the annual Media Leadership Forum.

This is the second time that the award has been presented. The inaugural award was won by Zhang Yimou for the film “Farewell My Concubine.” The HKFA is held in January through March every year, and is voted on by thirteen professional film bodies in Hong Kong as well as local film critics and a selected group of adjudicators.

The HKJC has implemented a number of measures to ensure that the draw is fair. Employees from the security and customer service departments regularly check all materials used in the draw, from boxing to transport. The balls used in the draw are also weighed and examined with an X-ray on a regular basis. In addition, the HKJC only uses the same set of balls for two consecutive draws.

In 2023/24, races over 1600m to Class 1 and the DBS x Manulife Million Challenge series will offer higher prize money than before. In particular, the first division prize has increased by 10%. Runners will be awarded HK$1 million for first place, and HK$350,000 for second place.

The hk prize is an Asian Tour event that takes place at the Hong Kong Golf Club. This is the eighth tournament of the elevated International Series, and it will pay out a minimum of $2m in prize money. Last year, Ben Campbell won this event after a one-shot victory over Ripper GC captain Cameron Smith. He won a prize of $360,000. Sergio Garcia won the main event with a score of 18-under par. He also won a bonus of $360,000 and was joined on the podium by David Puig and Abraham Ancer.
